Social anxiousness is healthy, it simply means that you care about the outcome when you are with people.

Last week I joined @vishen on the @mindvalley podcast to talk about Social Flow, my simple framework to turn this very human impulse into deep, meaningful connection with people.

Social Flow is what it sounds like, tapping into a flow state with people. That feeling where you are totally present to the conversation, self consciousness evaporates and you are filled with a focused energy to connect.

You crate Social Flow when you stop seeking external validation, and focus on internal motivation instead. You start to trust the things you can control like intentionality, curiosity, authenticity and let them guide you into confident communication and deep connection with others.

Before your next big meeting or social gathering, use the Social Flow prompts:

How do I want to feel/be?

What do I want to know?

What do I want to talk about?

To keep it top of mind, remember the acronym (I CAN) which stands for - intentionality, curiosity, authenticity, now.

The more you practice this, the more you’ll realize how infinitely fun, energizing and expansive every conversation can be...no matter who you’re with or where you are.
