Hey, I’m ANDREW, a serial entrepreneur turned executive coach who helps mission-driven founders lead powerfully while staying deeply connected to themselves and others.

I partner with ambitious leaders in their outer work (building thriving businesses) and inner work (becoming their best selves), so they can amplify their impact without sacrificing what matters most.

MY APPROACH

I believe leadership is the most evolved response to the human condition—It is the ability to respond consciously, articulate a vision and inspire action towards a win-for-all solution.

I have spent 15 years founding and leading companies. I have deep experience building culture, raising capital, navigating complex team dynamics, crafting strategic communication , brand development, and strategy.

I am agnostic in my coaching approach and like to use a series of complimentary models while working with clients. That said, I have trained and been influenced by several modalities including; The 15 commitments of conscious leadership, The Handel Method, Non-Violent Communication, Gestalt Practice, The Identity Model of Change, Flow States, Men’s Work, Transcendental Meditation, Breath Work, The Intrigue Methodology (strategic communication) and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

Core Practices in My Coaching Methodology

  • Relational Leadership

A practical 5-step framework that helps leaders to master effective communication and navigate the toughest conversations. My clients learn to build true-connection, foster collaboration, transform conflict, and inspire buy-in when it matters most.

  • Low-Drama, High Performance Culture

Implement the systems that make it easy for your team to do their best work and navigate challenges effectively. Build the structure for your team to operate with autonomy, accountability and a deep connection to purpose.

  • Self-Awareness

I guide leaders to understand their patterns, strengths, and blindspots, so they can evolve rapidly and overcome the behaviors that are holding them back.

  • Emotional Mastery

Emotions drive thoughts, and thoughts drive actions. I teach my clients to embrace their emotions fully, enabling them to lead without unconscious patterns, make clear decisions, and respond consciously to challenges.

  • Personal Integrity

I help clients build confidence and respect through deep personal alignment. The path of integrity makes “being yourself” the ultimate strategy for success and inspiring your team.

  • Flow & Zone of Genius

I guide my clients to operate from the unique intersection of their greatest strengths and deepest passions. By cultivating flow, they elevate their impact in the company while also experiencing greater fulfillment and inspiration at work.

How It Works

I don't subscribe to a templatized version of coaching with pre-set curriculums.

My goal is to meet you where you're at, understand who you're becoming, and collaborate with you to uncover the most promising paths forward.

The Container

  • Discovery Session

We kick off with a 90-minute deep dive where I ask a lot of questions to understand your life, needs, values, and goals. You'll leave excited about coaching and ready to fully step in.

  • Ongoing Sessions

We meet weekly or bi-weekly for 60-minute sessions centered around whatever is "up" for you. Sometimes it'll feel like an outer work strategy session, other times like inner work exploring different parts of your identity. I wrap each session with takeaways, next steps, and accountability.

  • Between Sessions

I'm available via text or email. We can also book spot coaching sessions for time-sensitive situations. This steady heartbeat of support helps you make consistent progress while staying flexible to what's most alive for you.

This coaching format offers a steady heartbeat of support, so you make consistent progress towards your goals, while staying flexible and responsive to whatever is most alive for you.

PLANS

I offer a variety of plans for founders & leaders at different stages of development. If you’re curious about the possibility of working together, please reach out.

Here are a few of the ways I work with clients:

1-on-1 Coaching

Two (bi-weekly) to four (weekly) 1-on-1 calls per month, with additional support as-needed. Perfect for growth-stage founders or leaders.

Co-Founder Coaching

Same as 1-on-1 coaching plus a group call at least every other month. Perfect for co-founders or exec team colleagues.

Workshops

Bespoke workshops for conferences, leadership teams, or entire organizations. Perfect for leaders infusing well-being into their orgs.

Assessments

I also offer 360 reviews and subsequent coaching to develop growth plans. Perfect for leaders seeking accelerated growth.

For coaching options, I work on a monthly retainer rather than a per-session fee. This monthly retainer covers all of our coaching sessions, plus the time I’ll spend on prep, follow-ups and any between-session support you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I work on a monthly retainer rather than a per-session fee. This monthly retainer covers our coaching sessions, plus the time I’ll spend on prep, follow-ups and any between-session support you need.

My monthly retainer for 1-on-1 coaching is $3,000 per month for bi-weekly sessions (2 per month). For people who are paying out of pocket or whose company cannot afford this rate, I also offer a limited number of coaching slots on a sliding scale.

If you’re curious about working together, please reach out, I’ll work with you to find a plan that meets your needs (or introduce you to someone in my network of coaches, therapists, and/or teachers that I trust).

  • An average executive coaching engagement lasts around nine months, but mileage varies. I prefer to keep it open-ended and check in every ~3 months or after key milestones so we can mutually decide how long to keep working together.

I focus on delivering a transformative coaching experience, and have confidence that it will turn into a long-term relationship when the coaching is working well for both of us.

As we progress, you may find that you have internalized my guidance, and that could be a sign that it's time for you to find your next coach.

  • This depends on your goals, but my clients typically start to feel the impact of coaching within the first two months. I’ve had some clients who experience an “aha” moment in the first session or two.

In our initial 90 minute “discovery” coaching session, I work with you to get a clear sense for what success looks like for you and we use this to guide our coaching time together. My experience is that, after two months of working together, both of us have a good sense for whether or not we’re making strong progress towards your goals.

  • I sometimes text or email to follow up on something we’ve discussed, but you can lean on me like I’m an extension of your team. You can text or email me with questions that are either pressing or might benefit from more reflection, documents you want me to review (e.g. business goals, development plans, sensitive emails, etc.), or even for an intro or contact. If you're not sure, just ask.

  • I work with highly self-motivated leaders who prioritize learning & growth. This includes:

    • Founders looking for a partner in their growth & development

    • Product leaders interested in leveling up

    • VPs, directors, and senior managers who want to lead with more clarity

    • Entrepreneurs searching for their next calling

My ideal clients care deeply, are profoundly curious, want to lead by example, and are committed to the process. They’re intrinsically driven to live a true expression of themselves, and are willing to take on whatever challenges that stand in the way.

ABOUT

I'm an Austin based social entrepreneur, writer and relationship-centric leadership coach. Forbes recently called me "Dale Carnegie for the digital age" and I think that's a fun way to think about what I'm up to. Dale Carnegie was a pioneer in the arena of "inter-personal development".

Like Carnegie, I am creating a body of work that shows modern day leaders how to become the best version of themselves by improving their relationships. In today's world of hyper-automation, interpersonal skills are more important than ever.

If I were going to sum up why I'm here, it is to help people to connect. With themselves, others and the work that matters to them. I have spent years codifying systems to help people transform their reactivity into inner peace, conscious communication and courageous action in their lives.

My Journey

I've spent 15 years founding and leading companies. Before I transitioned into this full-time coach and facilitator role, I was hustling to create mission driven companies. After a wild journey, my latest, Tribute.co became an 8-figure business and made it all the way to #256 on the INC500. The organization has helped more than 7,000,000 people to share appreciation-filled video montages with friends, family and coworkers around the globe.

Before that, I started a children's nonprofit called Dreams for Kids DC that provided adaptive athletic opportunities for younger people with disabilities in the DC metro area. I'm deeply proud of all the great work we did there and all they are still doing to support the kids to this day.

Current Work

These days, I am focused on leadership coaching, writing my first book, and training companies that want to help their leaders to communicate and connect more effectively. I've been fortunate to advise the founders of companies worth more than $4B in collective valuations.

In 2017, I founded The Junto, a community for leaders who are interested in the exploration of men's work and personal transformation. I also write a weekly Substack blog called "Relational Leadership with Andrew Horn" and host a podcast called "What's the Big Idea" where I invite world class thinkers and creators to share a singular idea they wish everyone could understand.

Personal Life

Most importantly, I'm a proud dad to Hiro and Ever, loving partner to Melissa and spend my summers in Costa Rica surfing as much as possible. I'm just deeply grateful to be here.
